Awards for three GIM researchers at the DGG annual meeting 2025 in Bochum

The Annual Meeting of the German Geophysical Society is hosted alternately by different universities and research institutions throughout Germany. This year, the conference was hosted by the Ruhr University Bochum and took place February 24-27, 2025. At these annual meetings, student prizes are awarded for the best three presentations in the oral and poster categories, respectively.

This year, GIM researchers Andrea Balza Morales and Hagen Söding were awarded for their oral presentations on structure-based inversion and joint inversion with petrophysical & structural constraints resulting from their research in the EASYGO project. In addition, Nino Menzel was awarded for his poster on geoelectric experimental design.
