DGG Annual Meeting 2026 in Münster

The annual meeting of the German Geophysical Society is hosted alternately by different universities and research institutions throughout Germany. This year, the conference was hosted by the University of Münster and took place March 01–05, 2026.

The conference brought together 400 geophysicists and serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge across all subdisciplines and applications.

This year, GIM researchers presented four contributions and had many inspiring discussions with colleagues from other institutions. These exchanges sparked new ideas and perspectives that will influence our ongoing and future research.

During the meeting, the RWTH Aachen was officially announced as the venue for the DGG Annual Meeting, taking place March 01–04, 2027. This is particularly exciting for us, as we, together with CG³, will be responsible for organizing next year’s conference. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the German geophysics community in 2027!
